The Hygge Haven : Mora, Minnesota

Experience tiny house living with all the amenities! Fully stocked with full kitchen, 2 sleeping lofts, shower, laundry, high speed internet, and a hot tub! All on over 8 secluded acres that you’ll have all to yourself. Perfect setting for a small family, romantic getaway, or artist’s retreat. 30 miles from several state parks. Halfway between Duluth and the Metro. Your oasis in the woods awaits!

As the tiny house movement has built more momentum, we’ve seen them popping up everywhere. Lately one of the most exciting collaborations has been between the tiny house and the short-term rental market. We all love a good Airbnb or VRBO but now we have the option of living out our tiny house dream even if it’s just for a weekend. This new series of Envy will feature these tiny house/vacation rental love children. We hope you like it!

What does Nathan want you to know about himself and his rental home?

“I am a father of two wonderful girls, ultra runner, and general lover of the outdoors. When I travel I try to use AirBnB as much as I can. From mountain get-a-ways on mountaineering trips to family vacations to weekends with the guys. And excited to share my own space as well in my tiny house!”

During your stay

The tiny house is the only dwelling on the property. You will have the house and the property all to yourself. Check-in & out is easy and without host for your privacy. If a guest would like assistance or has additional questions I can easily be made available by phone or in person as needed.

What are the accommodations like?

Unlike many tiny homes, this one feels spacious. Eleven foot ceilings in the living area and a ten foot wide base make all the difference. Two sleeping areas are lofted on each end. The master loft has a new queen bed and is accessible by ladder. The second sleeping loft is accessible via stairs and has two new single beds. The second sleeping loft also has a 7 foot wide desk / workspace. Myself and two kids lived here for three years full time so it has everything you could ever need in the space! All of this is set on 8+ private acres of woods, wetlands, and mowed/open areas for you to roam.

What do others have to say about their experience?

“We enjoyed our stay, the surroundings were quiet and peaceful and sitting in the hot tub was relaxing and perfect for enjoying the scenery. I was always curious about tiny homes and it was fun to experience one. The home was very well crafted and had lots of artistic touches I enjoyed. Really good use of space, has everything you need to be comfortable and I would not hesitate to book again.” Madaline
