The Woolly Bugger Inn : Estes Park, Colorado

Welcome to The Woolly Bugger Inn! Our cabins, tiny homes, and suites are tucked into the woodsy Big Thompson Canyon just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. We’re nestled along a quarter-mile private stretch of the (highly fishable!) Big Thompson River, with plenty of space to spread out and relax on our forested, five-acre grounds. The vibe here is cozy, laid-back, and old-school, with a mix of historic rental quarters and newer, more modern dwellings to choose from. We’re five minutes from downtown Estes Park and ten minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.

As the tiny house movement has built more momentum, we’ve seen them popping up everywhere. Lately one of the most exciting collaborations has been between the tiny house and the short-term rental market. We all love a good Airbnb or VRBO but now we have the option of living out our tiny house dream even if it’s just for a weekend. This new series of Envy will feature these tiny house/vacation rental love children. We hope you like it!

What does Kyle want you to know about him and his rental home?

“I grew up in a tiny B&B 9,500′ above sea level in Keystone, Colorado. Sharing experiences in a beautiful outdoor destination with guests from around the globe (and mandatory ski lessons through elementary school) has stuck with me throughout my life. My wife Krissy and I now call Whitefish, Montana home and travel frequently to National Parks and public lands throughout the country with our dogs Gooby and Kumba.”

What are the accommodations like?

Snowshoe Hare is a cozy tiny home with a lofted king bed, full kitchen (with a compact, bar-style dining area), couch nook, and a full bath with a combination shower-tub. It includes an outdoor deck space with a propane fire pit, gas grill, and seating. Please note the lofted sleeping quarters are accessed by a staircase and require some nimble maneuvering to get into bed—we think it’s super cozy, but please only book if you’re on board with some ducking.

What do others have to say about their experience?

“I cant say enough amazing things about this property! My fiancé and I were celebrating our anniversary by taking a stay-cation in Estes Park and this was the perfect spot! Super close to downtown Estes Park but also tucked away so you can truly experience the beauty that Colorado has to offer! We LOVED this property & will hopefully be back in the summer! Krissy and Kyle were fantastic hosts throughout our stay!” Kylie
